Pumpkin Pie Latte or Smoothie

‘Tis the season for all things pumpkin.  I have never been a fan of pumpkin pie or pumpkin spice coffee.  I love the smell and I love a good pumpkin roll.

Braking fast or adding in a protein shake mid-day helps with increasing my protein and sometimes fat I need to hit my macros.  The original recipe came from my FASTer Way To Fat Loss meal plans.  I tend to tweak most recipes to what I have on hand or what I like and need.

Fueling your body with whole foods

This Pumpkin Pie Latte is refreshing and has the taste of fall.  It is 2 servings so share it with a friend. My Fitness Pal recipe builder shows the calories per serving as 341.  Macros: Carbohydrates 34grams, Protein 43 grams, and Fat 5 grams.

To add in Fat if you need fat for the day on a FWTFL low carb day add in MCT oil or coconut oil.  Needing protein? add in collagen powder. If you are needing more carbs throw in an apple.  It only makes it sweeter and doesn’t alter the flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pumpkin Pie puree (pie filling)

  • 1 cup cold coffee (optional)

  • 1 cup almond milk (2 if not using coffee)

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 2 scoops of protein powder

  • Ice cubes – 2 handfuls – more or less depending on how thick you want your smoothie

  • Optional ingredients to increase calories or macros: These are not in the above macro counts.

  • MCT oil 1 tbsp – increases fat

  • Collagen powder -2 tbs – increases protein

  • Small apple – increases carbohydrates

Directions

Add all to a blender and blend till smooth
