Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter

  • 1/4 tsp soda

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 3 cups flour sifted

  • 6 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions

Grease and flour (or I use Bakers Joy) in a bundt pan.  Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy with a mixer.  Add eggs one at a time mixing well.  Stir in with a wooden spoon by hand the sour cream.  Combine soda and flour, add to butter sugar mixture, and use the mixture to blend well.  Stir in vanilla.  Spoon mixture into bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1.5 hours.  Let stand on a cooling rack for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan. Cool.
